Description

The first iBook to run the PowerPC 7455 v3.3 G4 processor, the iBook G4 came in three configurations.  The low-end 12.1” configuration ran at 800Mhz, had a 20Gb hard drive and 256Mb of RAM.  The midrange 14.1” configuration ran at 933Mhz, had a 40Gb hard drive and 256Mb of RAM.  The high-end 14.1” configuration ran at 1.0Ghz, had a 60Gb hard drive and 256Mb of RAM.  All models included a slot loading Combo drive.

History

The iBook G4 brought the new processor to the iBook line.  It also brought improvements to graphics, USB 2.0, AirPort Extreme capability and Bluetooth support.  The memory architecture and bus were also enhanced in this model.

Timeline

Introduced in October 2003 the iBook G4 was discontinued to make way for new models in April 2004.

  • This iBook G4 is a very good one and it is better that it came in 3 versions, so this way you can choose whatever you want. RCA ieftin 2012
